\nOur mission is to make people aware of Theosophy through the color palette of the books written by its representatives. Or, as the most prominent representative of the Theosophists, Helena P. Blavatsky said, to encourage man, so inside him spiritual intution comes to live. We live in time, when there is among people vast religious intolerance and we are sure, that our library and especially material, collected inside from various religious, spiritual and other areas, contributes to harmonic breathing of individuals in society.

\nThrough education and informing, we wish to encourage people toward active participation into society, where there is no place of differences and in which we are all part of same divinity.

The Theosophical library and reading room of Alma M. Karlin in Celje (TKBAK) is a special library of open type, and is the first Theosophical Library in Slovenia. First and foremost is intended for members of the TKBAK, it is no less interesting for those who are in any way interested in theosophy and related areas.
\na<\/span>
\nOn our shelves there are so far more than 9,000 titles in the field of theosophy, philosophy, psychology, esoteric, treatment, personal and spiritual growth, magic and occultism, ecology, and a variety of religions such as Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism and Islam. In addition, our bookshelves are filled with extensive collections of world’s famous theosophists such as Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, C. W. Leadbeater, Annie Besant, Alice Bailey, Mabel Collins, and finally Alma Karlin and colorful range of books and authors like Jiddu Krishnamurti, Osho and Sri Aurobindo.

\nAlso for lovers of prose and fiction there can be found some literary delicacy, as well fans of autobiographies and biographies will definitely find something to suit their taste. A large part of the books that have found their place in our library, were so far not available to Slovenian readers, but estabilishment of our library changed this fact. Library and reading room are newly decorated and everyone eager of knowledge, peace can find its place at one of the 10 reading places. We kindly invite you to our temple of culture and knowledge.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

WHAT IS SPECIAL LIBRARY?<\/strong> <\/strong>

\nSpecial library offers to users primary documents and technical and scientific information from specific narrow area. Such libraries have employed less people then other types of libraries and are more personal than large libraries.

\nAt most the special libraries are dependent and operate within different institutions, companies, research institutes, public administration, associations.
\na<\/span>
\nAmong themselves, these libraries vary depending on the area they cover and the services they perform.
\na<\/span>
\nSpecial librarianship is important for all libraries, because in many ways first introduced and tested new solutions in librarianship, especially on the deployment and use of information technology, as well as in marketing and training of users.

\nPotential users of special libraries are mainly internal users, but such a library is also available to external users.
