Annie Besant, was related to the following lodges: &#8220;Sklad&#8221; ( led by prof. Jelisaveta Vavra), &#8220;Istina&#8221; ( Valery Mayerhoffer ), &#8220;Surya&#8221; (Joseph Vavra), &#8220;Krishnaji&#8221; (Vera Donkchinskaja), &#8220;Blavatsky&#8221;\u00a0 (Hinko Hinkovi\u010d) &#8216;Annie Besant&#8217; ( Mimica Vavra) and &#8220;Jedinstvo&#8221; (Milan \u0160o\u0161tari\u010d). However, it seems that all these lodges haven&#8217;t been really active at issued document.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">a<\/span><br \/>\nThe central lodge of the Yugoslav Theosophical Society was represented by lodge &#8220;Sklad&#8221; in Zagreb, which was founded already in 1924 and in 1928 for its operations acquired apartment in Mesni\u010dki ul. 7\/III. These spaces were also the official headquarters of the association, with a relatively extensive library (about 600 titles) and in which it held its place also branch of LKC (Liberal Catholic Church). Society has gradually expanded through the creation of new lodges: &#8220;Blavatsky&#8221; led by Bo\u017eidar Prikril, &#8220;Adyar &#8211; Besant&#8221; (connection of circle &#8220;Besant&#8221; and study center &#8220;Adyar&#8221; ), led by Sofia Kachni\u010d, &#8220;Jedinstvo&#8221; in Karlovac, &#8220;Sloga&#8221; in \u010cakovec, led by Milan Reichnig, &#8220;Bratska ljubav&#8221; in Kri\u017eevci, led by Ivica Barlovi\u0107 and lodges &#8220;Truth&#8221; and &#8220;Istok&#8221;, led by Vojislav Kujund\u017ei\u0107, in Belgrade, which haven&#8217;t been particularly active. The more active was theosophical lodge &#8220;Jaroslav Mudri&#8221; in Belgrade, which was formed Russian immigrants and was incorporated into the Russian Section of the Theosophical Society outside Russia.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">a<\/span><br \/>\nIn 1927 in Celje has began operating lodge &#8220;Krishnaji,&#8221; led by Konrad End (priest of LKC), and later began publishing journal &#8220;\u017darki resnice&#8221;. In 1931 there were in Zagreb established meditative lodge &#8220;Sava&#8221;, which was led by Milica Gradi\u0161nik, and lodge &#8220;Krist&#8221;, led by Pavao Pu\u010dar and also has devoted herself to studying the Bible.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">a<\/span><br \/>\nIn 1932, a Yugoslav Theosophical Society already had 186 members, of whom were half from Zagreb. In the context of the society, a number of other activities found place, such as &#8216;Red Slu\u017eenja&#8217;, led by Mila \u0160i\u0161i\u0107, &#8220;Krog Vitezov&#8221;, and group of young Theosophists, whose motto was: &#8220;Live pure, speak truth&#8221;, group &#8220;Majka Svijeta&#8221;, led by Marijeta Dimec, a group of &#8220;Za\u0161titu \u017eivotinja&#8221;, fairly active group &#8220;Umjetnost i umjetni\u010dki obrt&#8221;, group &#8220;Suzbijanje alcohol&#8221;,&#8221;the Theosophical group for Istra\u017eivanja&#8221;,&#8221;Liga za slavensku kulturo&#8221;, which once per year organized the &#8220;Slavenski dan&#8221;, &#8220;Liga za svjetski mir&#8221;, &#8220;Liga konstruktivnih mislilaca&#8221;, &#8220;Liga za Karmu i Reinkarnaciju&#8221;, group &#8220;Aboliciju smrtne kazne&#8221; and &#8220;Turisti\u010dka grupa&#8221;.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">a<\/span><br \/>\nIn 1934, the society became a member of the &#8220;International Society for Psychical Research&#8221;. In this and next year have been set up lodges &#8220;Rukmini&#8221;, headed by Zvonimir Frlan, &#8220;Blavatsky &#8211; Besant&#8221; (formerly &#8220;Adyar &#8211; Besant&#8221; and &#8220;Blavatsky &#8220;) , &#8220;Arundale&#8221; in Bjelovar, &#8220;Besant&#8221; in Ivanov Selo, led by Tomo Mata\u0161in, and the lodge &#8220;Ljubav&#8221; in Su\u0161ak. The Society had 237 members, in 1937, the number of them increased to 340th.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">a<\/span><br \/>\nIn 1938, Jugoslavian theosophical society organized succesful conress of European Federation of Theosophical Societies, which was governed by then president of Theosophical society, dr. G. S. Arundale.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">a<\/span><br \/>\nIn 1939 in Kragujevac began operating lodge for children, named &#8220;Proljetni san&#8221;, again operating in Slovenia has came to live again, with estabilishment of lodge &#8220;Slu\u017eenje&#8221; in Ljubljana, led by Vladimir Komidar.\u00a0 That year, the society chaned it&#8217;s name to &#8220;Teozofsko dru\u0161tvo v Jugoslaviji.&#8221;<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">a<\/span><br \/>\nIn beginning of year 1941, members of Russian lodge &#8220;Jaroslav Mudri&#8221; joind him and in his context estabilished lodge &#8220;Bratstvo&#8221;. Of course this lodge operated only before beginning of april, 1941, until attack on Yugoslavia occured and occupation, when because of this reason, any operation of Theosophical socity in Yugoslavia was suspended.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">a<\/span><br \/>\nJust before beginning of war, society had 378 active members, although sequental number of members since beginning of this society reached 540.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">a<\/span><br \/>\nSociety from year 1927 to 1941 issued magazine Teozofija, which was published six times per year.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">a<\/span><br \/>\nAlthough the society ran out of resources, it managed to publish next books and booklets: <em>Teozofija in Teozofsko Dru\u0161tvo za tiste, ki i\u0161\u010dejo Resnico<\/em>; <em>Astralna raven<\/em> and <em>Devachanska raven<\/em>, C. W. Leadbeatra; <em>Karma<\/em>, I. Butkovi\u0107a; <em>Ob nogah U\u010ditelja<\/em>, J. Krishnamurtija; <em>Glas Ti\u0161ine<\/em>, H. P. Blavatsky; <em>Lu\u010d na Pot<\/em>, M. Collins; other numerous translated works were published in typed form and in limited edition.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">a<\/span><br \/>\nSociety has all-time mantained good relationships with leadership, because chief of police administration in Zagreb was invited on regular meetings and congresses of society and from them sent greetings to king and minister&#8217;s president.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">a<\/span><br \/>\nAll time of operating the society, in it&#8217;s context operated also &#8220;Nutranja \u0160kola&#8221;, which was led by Jelisava Vavra up to year of 1938, and after that Alojz Piltaver. Prof. Jelisava Vavra at the same time guided Co-Mason lodge,<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">a<\/span><br \/>\n(original text can be red on page <a href=\"http:\/\/www.teozofija.info\/Teozofsko_gibanje\/Jugoslovansko_Teozofsko_drustvo.htm\" target=\"_blank\">teozofija.info<\/a>)<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">a<\/span><br \/>\n<strong>THEOSOPHICAL MOVEMENT IN YUGOSLAVE DURING SECOND WORLD WAR<\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">a<\/span><br \/>\nWhen kingdom of Yugoslavia was occupied in april of 1941, members of Theosophical society in Yugoslavia at headquarters of society in Zagreb canceled all activities and changed premises into apartment, so that they protected society&#8217;s property of quisling&#8217;s government.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">a<\/span><br \/>\nMembers of society from Ljubljana have despite occupation continued with work and illegaly met in notary&#8217;s office at Dalmatinova 3. With large support from some members of Rotary Klub, they have provided basic equipment for typing and reproduction, they also prepared literate meterials and have actively participated in operation of Osvobodilna Fronta.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">a<\/span><br \/>\nAmong 378th members of Teozofsko dru\u0161tvo Jugoslavija, in war disappeared 186 members, so the number of them was cut in half.
