Assembly of Grand Orient de France decided in year of 1955 to create a documentation center and a newsletter. The premiere issue was published in 1956 and it was intended for members of the obedience. In year of 1965 newsletter got today’s name: HUMANISME. From year 1972 on magazine HUMANISME is commercially available.

All this time seminars are held and are open to the public. The days of study and round tables are also held and they all contribute to the reputation of the obedience.

Magazine HUMANISME is issued quarterly per year by Grand Orient de France in Paris. Main editor is Samuel Tomei.
All authors that contribute to magazine do not belong to freemasonry.

Constant sections in magazine are: philosophy, social analysis, portraits, memories, science, culture and artistic expression, history and freemasonry.
